Without the support of our generous sponsors, we would be unable to operate the St. Mary’s County Science and Engineering Fair. The funds which our sponsors provide, support both the students and the operational costs of the Fair. Students receive 91% of the funds which provide registration fees to both Prince George’s County Regional Fair as well as the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). Students attending ISEF receive full funding for travel expenses including flights and hotel stays. In addition, these funds are used for purchasing the student awards such as plaques, medals and cash prizes. The balances of the remaining funds are used to improve student experiences at our local county fair.

We also appreciate our Special Award Sponsors who attend the county fair, and judge all student projects eligible for awards according to each sponsor’s organizational mission. These sponsors recognize their selected award winners at the Fair giving both cash and other prizes directly to the student winners.
