2027 SCIENCE FAIR DATES

St. Mary’s County Science Fair Dates
The Fair is typically held Mid to Late January on a Friday with the snow date a week later:  It will be held in the SMART Building
Thursday night set up from 5:00-7:00 PM
Awards Ceremony — @Great Mills High School in the auditorium from 6:00-8:30 PM
Dates will be finalized closer to the Fair date

79th Annual Prince George’s Regional Science & Engineering Fair Dates
Mid-March at the Charles Herbert Flowers HS
Online registration will open on January 5 and close on February 6

International Science Fair
The 2027 Regeneron Fair is in Los Angeles,  CA May 9-14
 
Important Dates:
 All paperwork due to school coordinators by COB – (mid December 2026)
 Online registration due by 11:59 PM – (mid-December 2026)
Early January  2027: Paperwork review (location TBD)
January  2027: Presentations uploaded for judges to view
January 2027:  Judges given access to presentations
January 2027: Science fair board meeting to prepare judges’ envelopes
Dates will be finalized closer to the Fair date

The St. Mary’s County Science Fair Board would like to offer special thanks the the The Southern Maryland Astronomical Society for their exhibition and demonstration of their Astronomical tools. Our Fair participants were excited and enjoyed the ability to view the sun and learn about various types of instrumentation.
